Synonymous? No. However, I don’t think that they are mutually exclusive either. Passion needn’t always entail the “shoot from the hip” instant gratification mindset that plagues present day society. Rather, when tempered with prudence, it can patiently endure great trial, achieve immense ends, and even deepen itself. I am passionate about receiving God’s grace in my life, and I am patient in my prayer for that very gift.
Hi Scott,
Sorry to take up room on this post for something unrelated to your question, but I was wondering if you could email me your home address. I’m trying to get a list from people I know from St. Paul’s.
Thanks. God bless you and your wife in all you are doing!

Passion: wanting it to the point of extreme action
Patience: the ability to keep going until it is accomplished
…ish
Thank you both for your good thoughts. Very similar.
…although mine is probably the boringest.
