Me, Amy, and Bobby went and visited Jonathan and Sandy. JC knew nothing about us coming until late at night I stumble into their apartment. I simply walked in the door, JC was at his computer, looked over and was like “What!?! What’s going on?!? What are you DOING HERE?!?” Oh it was so great. Then two minutes later Amy walks in and JC freaks out again. Then even better. Another 2 minutes later Bobby sneaks in while Jonathan was in the kitchen and quietly sits on the couch. JC rounds the corner out of the kitchen and freaks out again when he sees Bobby. After a quick hug and a patented JC “What!?!” he runs out the door of their apartment suspecting that we were hiding more people. It was great. Entirely worth the whole trip just to surprise him. This was taken on our last night. The night of the SD/LA fires. You can see the haze, we got out just in time.

We went to Mexico. Uggh what a miserable experience getting back into the States. Complete with a police officer copping a feel on Bobby. Been there, done that…probably never again.
What timing. We were able to meet up with Jana who was in town for a youth conference. We all went out and enjoyed some delicious burgers. Thanks to Bobby for foot’n the bill.
