serious or funny

sr Ok, it can be serious or funny. What does this phrase mean to you: Never force it.

29 and….30

So I’m done with my 30 days of no pop. It was a little tougher than I like to admit. I didn’t consider myself a heavy pop drinker before, maybe 2-3 cans a week. But now seeing how desperately I wanted a drink, especially with certain foods like pizza, I might reconsider my dependency. I’d encourage anyone to try it. Especially you coffee addicts out there, give it up for one week and see the difference.
As you can see from the picture I celebrated by downing a Mountain Dew and was greeted with an upset stomach that lasted the rest of the day. Welcome back pop, welcome back.

Amy and I made apple ducks with some friends of ours. If you’ve never heard of an apple duck before, don’t be surprised. We hadn’t either until we met our master-dietitian friend. Thanks for the crash course Hannah!

the days away

  • I went to the optometrist because my eyes were hurting. The last time I went I was in elementary school. Yeah, it’s been that long. Well he (the doctor) didn’t have much to say besides my vision being perfect. While that is good news, he didn’t have much to say about why my eyes have been hurting lately. I really didn’t think he wanted to give me the time of day, maybe I’ll get a second opinion.
  • We have an intern named Laura from Texas staying with us while she’s working at NPH for the summer.
  • I’ve been addicted to this game lately. I’ve only beaten the Medium level once.
  • I went to Fenwick’s wedding on Sunday. Perfect weather.
  • UPDATE: It turns out I was thinking of the wrong pastor. It wasn’t who I was thinking about, but still. I found out one of my childhood pastor’s was brought up in pedophile charges. The answer to your question is, no.
  • Joe and his wife Julie had their baby, Amelia. Congrats Joe, I would post on you blog but I don’t want to sign in…sorry.
  • Amy and I picked around 20 ticks off of Jazz after her walk. Yeah, real exciting stuff.
