i even made them a mix cd

I have some sad news…take a look at the picture you can probably guess. Yeah so I’ve been in contact with the Hitch50 guys, even before they started their journey. It was all planned out I was going to get off work today and drive them to Jefferson City, MO.

Well it turns some other guy offered them a ride too, to Jefferson City and then south. Honestly I’m pretty hurt by this because I’ve been gearing myself up about this for awhile (ask Amy or the IS Dept@nph). Perhaps it’s for the best.

On a much lighter note check this out:

Congrats,

Maybe more real “life” news next time. Here entertain yourself.

Plug: Hitch50.com

Hey guys. Go check out www.hitch50.com. These 2 guys are trying to hitchhike to ALL 50 states in 50 days. They’re only 3 days into their journey but already covered 6 states. They seem like 2 really cool guys. They are relying only on the kindness of strangers for rides (yes that includes Alaska and Hawaii) but they are taking arranged rides as well. So I contacted them and I’m giving them a ride from Jefferson City, MO to Topeka, KS. We’re going to stop and have some BBQ of course while they’re in the KC area. It’s going to be great.

all the dearest will read

This if for all of you who will read. Its kind of in response to Jonathans response about a lack of updating. It’s about where I am. I’m not expecting everyone to read the attached document, but if you do, please offer any suggestions. If you feel that your response is going to be too long, send me an email. Thank you all for reading my blog. It means so much that every one of you visits.

P.S. This document is actually one of my journals so please don’t think it was made to be a actual letter.

Can We Change (pdf)

BTW, is there anyone who reads my blog who I have never met in person? Just curious.

Goodbye legendary friend of KC

The legendary Buck O’Neil passed away last night. I remember this man growing up, and up until his death, he represented everything good about Kansas City.

Please read more about him.
