Psalm 23

I’m back from Seattle. Life was good while I was up there. I got to see family I hadn’t seen in a while, some for over 3+ years. We even had a family reunion BBQ while we were there. I’d say the BBQ was the highlight of the trip. Here’s why:

My grandpa is only mentally aware for a few short hours each day. The morning of the BBQ we went to check on him and things were not looking good for him. It was one of his roughest mornings. Then a couple hours later we went back to check on him, before we went the the reunion. He had perked up, and was doing good. So he was able to go the BBQ for an hour or so!!! It was awesome having him there, after all, he was the real reason why we were up there.

So that’s why I had the best time at the reunion.

I also got to read my grandpa his favorite verse to him, Psalm 23. It was a pretty emotional experience.

Jonathan also drove up for a couple days. That was cool seeing him. So, props goes to JC for driving 7+ hours to hang out. We had some great times.

BTW the picture above is one I took from Snoqualmie Falls.
